Now onwards, whenever you will think of placing your laptop on your lap, just think it twice. It is so because research studies suggest that the heat emitting from the laptop can affect your fertility.
Facts That Research Studies Reveal
An article in WebMD reported that according to a group of researchers in the US, the heat generated by a laptop has become a threat to the fertility of men who places the machine on their laps.
The lead researcher Prof Yefim Sheynkin said, “Working on laptop computers in a laptop position causes significant scrotal temperature elevation as a result of heat exposure and posture-related effects.”
Sperms that stay in the scrotum are actually produced in the testicles. The scrotum is placed outside of the body. As a result, it’s more vulnerable to the external heat than the ovaries of a woman. Basically, for this reason women’s ovaries are less likely to be affected by the heat coming from the laptop.
Research studies suggest that an increase in the temperature in scrotal is closely linked to the poor quality of sperm. That’s the reason actually for which some fertility experts recommends staying far from the electric blankets, heated waterbeds or tight underwear when you are trying for a baby. These things can always generate extra heat around the testicles.
