Here a list of simple exercises one can resort to when in office. These are meant for those who suffer from arthritis and have no time to exercise.
1) Ankle Circles: As you sit and stare at the computer start turning your ankles in a circular position first in the right direction and then in the left. Do this for 20 minutes. Circulating the ankles helps it remain flexible.
2) Heel/Toe Lifts: for a period of 20 minutes every day proves to be very useful. Lift your heels placing your toes towards the ground and then lift your toes above with the ankles touching the ground. Do it everytime you feel the pricking sensation in the feet.
3) Knee Raises: Sit on the edge of a chair with your back straight. Lift your knee as high as you can without bending your back. You can use your hands to help raise your knee. Let it be one knee at a time. Everytime the knee gets stiff, try out this exercise.
4) Leg Lift with Ankle Movements: Sit upright with back supported. This exercise does not require one to just lift the ankle but the entire leg. Make sure that the knees are straight and not bended.
5) Walking: Take a walk every day.Walking allows you to stretch your back and leg muscles and joints that can become stiff from sitting. Take a break every 20 minutes. This helps ease the pressure on the joints.
