Exercises Can Improve Your Memory Power

Researchers opine that physical activity through exercise can help increase one’s memory power. Though people suffering from “mild cognitive impairment”, as it is called, can perform all activities quiet well, they have trouble trying to remember the minute details of conversations, upcoming appointments or events.

Mild cognitive impairment leads to cognitive disabilities, which is considered to be the ultimate result of the Alzheimer’s disease as the study suggests. This study is first to determine that exercise can help the brain function better.

The Mayo Clinic team of researchers observed about 868 people aged between 70-89 years. About 128 were suffering from mild cognitive impairment while the rest were examined to be cognitively healthy.

The research team introduced moderate exercises to people aged between 50-65 years prior to the study. It was realized that those who exercised showed reduced risks of cognitive impairment.

Though the research team could not ascertain as to how exercise can really help in improving brain health, others are of the opinion that exercise can stimulate brain cells to respond better to situations. In other words, brain health, physical activity and healthy living are absolutely essential for a healthy mind and body.
