- Wipe the Sweat: Use a towel to wipe your sweat. You may unknowingly leave sweat on the equipment. Wipe the sweat on the equipment to make others comfortable. Many gyms provide towels, use them. If not, bring your own.
- Avoid Noise Pollution: Dropping the weights on the floor during strength training creates a lot of noise. Avoid grunting, screaming during the weight lifting.
- Share the Equipment: You can share the equipment with the other person, instead of working on it continuously. ‘Working in’ is a method in which two people can alternate between the sets.
- Return the Equipment: After you finish using the equipment, put them back into their place. Weight plates, dumbbells, mats should be kept in the right place for others to spot them easily.
- Be Mindful of Space: Leave enough space for your workout, so that other people won’t be hurt. Give enough space for yourself so that you can do your stretches and strength training comfortably.
- Be Clean: Use a mild deodorant to prevent bad odor. Do not wear strong perfume in the gym. Washing your gym clothes regularly is also important.
- Check the Time Limit: Most of the gyms have a time limit on the equipment during the peak hours. Check the time limit to avoid making others wait for you.
- Avoid Speaking on Mobile: Speaking on mobile phone during workout is annoying to most people. It may interfere with their concentration.
- Check your Gym Membership Status: Check your gym membership status. It is advisable to check the expiry of the membership and pay regularly.
- Avoid Makeup: During workout, the makeup does not stay because of the sweat. It is better to put no makeup on as it may even clog your skin cells.
