Exercise even as little as 1 hour a week can improve your quality of life and your ability to do daily tasks. This study is encouraging enough for people who are obese and overweight to exercise and be more active in their daily life.
The Research by Duke Diet and Fitness Center:
Researchers at Duke Diet and Fitness Center studied 1200 participants who were extremely obese. These participants were made to exercise for only 1 hour a week. The researchers observed that after exercising, these participants improved their ability to do daily tasks such as tying shoe laces, getting dressed, and moving around.
After exercising, the participants also improved their quality of life. They showed improvement in activities such as getting up from the chair, using the stairs, and walking. Symptoms such as shortness of breath also decreased after getting exercise.
