Strength training is beneficial for everyone. It is often mistaken that strength training is suitable for men and that body builders are supposed to lift weights. However, research has shown that strength training is suitable for both men and women of all ages.

- Body weight: Instead of weights from machines and equipments, you can use your body weight. Pull-ups, push-ups, crunches and squats etc. can be done for strength training. These exercises improve your flexibility and they can be easily done at home.
- Resistance bands: Elastic-like bands, cords, tubes provide resistance when pulled. Resistance bands vary based on the amount of resistance. These are inexpensive, portable and can be used at home
Strength training improves your overall health and posture. Even if you are unable to attend the gym, you can choose body weight exercises and resistance bands. All of these exercises promote strong bones and muscles. Hence, start these exercises to enhance your overall health and quality of life
