Lack of exercise is the reason behind many chronic health conditions such as heart problems, diabetes etc. Some of the reasons people give for not exercising are, being busy, lack of motivation, and not knowing how to exercise. However, the effects of lack of exercise are so serious that doctors are recommending at least 30 minutes of exercise daily.
Effects of Lack of Exercise:
Here are some of the effects of lack of exercise:
- Chronic Diseases: Lack of exercise leads to chronic health conditions such as heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, increased risk of developing cancer and premature death
- Depression: Lack of exercise can make people stressed, fatigued and depressed. Exercising releases certain hormones in the body, which reduce anxiety and depression. Lack of exercise, however, can make a person depressed and fatigued
- Obesity: Among all effects of lack of exercise, obesity is primary. Obesity is a condition where high amount of fat accumulated in the body, which in turn can lead to several other heath problems
- Lack of flexibility, balance: Lack of exercise can lead to a loss of flexibility, which can make doing daily tasks difficult. Lack of exercise can also lead to loss of balance among the elderly
- Increased risk of falls, injuries: People who do not exercise are at increased risk of falls and injuries
Symptoms of Lack of Exercise:
Lack of exercise symptoms can be increased weight gain, fatigue, difficulty in doing daily chores etc. Lack of exercise can also show up in the form of loss of flexibility, increased laziness, and inability to do simple tasks. Lack of exercise primary leads to obesity, which may in turn lead to knee pain, lack of mobility and decreased self-esteem.
Exercising can be done in many ways such as by walking, jogging, swimming, or cycling. Always remember that exercising should make you feel warm and mildly short of breath. Even 30 minutes of exercising daily can make a great difference. However, to lose weight and maintain it, about 60 minutes of exercise or greater is recommended daily.
Exercising Tips:
There are several advantages of exercising. Aerobic exercise increases the strength of the heart and lungs. Strength training increases the strength and muscle mass. Stretching exercises increase the flexibility of the body. Here are a few exercising tips for exercising every day:
- Start slowly: According to experts, even 30 minutes of exercise a day is beneficial. You can start with 30 minutes and slowly increase your exercise time. Exercising becomes easier as the days go by
- Incorporate exercise in your daily life: You can incorporate exercise in your daily life by cycling, walking, taking the stairs, doing household chores etc.
- Exercise with your friend: Exercising with your friend helps you to exercise regularly and it can also make your workout less boring
- Join a gym: To get regular exercise, you can consider joining a gym where you can be guided properly by a coach
The deteriorating health effects of lack of exercise is equivalent to smoking a pack cigarette a day. Lack of exercise doubles the risk of heart disease. Hence, it is very important to exercise. Hence, start exercising and ensure a healthy and long life.

alot of the information is wrong and the factual side is incorrect.
