Exercise is supposed to energize and strengthen you. However, sometimes people experience fatigue during or after exercise. Sometimes exercise fatigue can be an indication of an underlying health problem. Hence, before starting an exercise program, consulting a doctor to know your fitness level is recommended. The doctor would be able to inform you about the types of exercises which suit you.
How To Prevent Exercise Fatigue?
Here are a few tips to prevent exercise fatigue:
- Drink Water: While exercising, we lose a lot of sweat. This can lead to dehydration and fatigue. Hence, make sure you drink water before and during exercise to prevent fatigue
- Avoid overdoing the exercise: Exercising too hard can lead to fatigue. Running too fast or overdoing your exercises result in fatigue. So, increase your intensity over time instead of suddenly increasing it
- Avoid Low Energy levels: Exercising with low energy levels can lead to fatigue. Not consuming food for long time can stress your body. Eating two hours before exercising can ensure you do not run out of energy.
- Check If You Have Health problems: Infection, health problems can also lead to exercise fatigue. If you feel weak consistently, check with your doctor
- Warm up: Warming up is exercising at low intensity before switching to high intensity. Warming up prepares your body for exercise by increasing the temperature and blood circulation. Stretches can also be done during warming up. Not warming up before exercise can lead to injuries and fatigue. It is also important to cool down by reducing exercise intensity before ending your workout
If you have exercise fatigue, informing your trainer can help you. You might be overdoing your exercise or doing exercises in the wrong way. Once you overcome exercise fatigue, you would be able to exercise and have more energy levels.
