Plyometric is a an exercise created to produce powerful and fast movements, and enhance the progress of the nervous system,

Plyometric movements: Whenever the muscles, load and contract rapidly, the elasticity, innervation’s and strength of the muscles makes the surrounding tissues to react faster, hit harder, throw farther, jump higher and run faster with regards to the goal.

Plyometrics is used to boost the pace of muscular contractions with the aim of raising the height of a jump.

Plyometric training includes activities to harden tissues and guide the nerve cells to stimulate a particular pattern of muscle contraction. In the process, the muscle generates strong contraction in the shortest amount of time.

A Plyometric mechanism involves rapid muscle expansion movement, followed by a resting period, then an explosive muscle reduction phase. This allows the muscles to move flexible in a particular movement.

Plyometric exercises use powerful actions to build up muscular power. It acts on the tendons, nerves and muscles to increase an athlete’s power without stressing their strength.

These exercises involve a high risk of injury as they generate large force during performance and training. It should be performed only under the guidance of trained professionals. Plyometric requires good levels of stamina, flexibility, physical strength and focused mind.

The minimum amount of strength required to perform Plyometric exercises depends on from where the information is sourced and how great is the passion to perform. Chu (1998) suggests that the participant should be able to complete five repetitions of the squat exercise at sixty percent of his body weight. After all core body strength is also important.
