Osteoporosis is a condition where the bones of the body get very brittle. They can have the tendency to get fractured often. In order to develop strong bones exercising is recommended for people suffering from osteoporosis. It is specially used for the development of what health professional call as the “ bone mass and density.”

WEIGHT BEARING EXERCISES:

some of the exercises that are supported by the means of your feet and legs are termed as the weight bearing exercises. Some of the weight bearing exercises that can be performed are walking, dancing, stair climbing and hiking.

Walking can be the best form of exercise, walking few miles everyday can help in building stronger bone structure. As a general health perspective it is recommended to exercise from 30 to 45 minutes 3 to 5 times a day.

RESISTANCE EXERCISES:

resistance exercises are used to strengthen the muscle at the same time help in building better bones. The resistance exercises can increase the bone density and also reduces of the risk of fractures. Some of the resistance exercises can include the use of free weights or that of weight machines in the home or in the gym. One can take the help of resistance rings or tubes in the absence of a gym equipment.

Water exercises can also be beneficial as the movement that are carried out in water make the muscles work harder.

FLEXIBILITY EXERCISES:

Performing flexibility exercises aids in developing flexible bones and joints ,which can help prevent a possible injury. Some of the other flexibility exercises are regular stretches, tai chi, and yoga.
